	Belgium, like all countries that have policies for the long-term management of this type of waste, also opted for deep disposal. To define the main lines of the decision-making process that will govern the implementation of deep disposal and to confirm or revise deep disposal in Belgium as a safe management solution, a broad public debate will be organised in 2023. ONDRAF/NIRAS, responsible for the safe management of radioactive waste in our country, is keen to inform everyone openly about deep disposal. One way we will do so is through this website.
	SUBATECH Laboratory
	SUBATECH laboratory is a joint research unit under the triple supervision of the Institut Mines-Télécom through its school, IMT Atlantique, the University of Nantes and the CNRS with the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics (IN2P3) as the main institute and the National Institute of Chemistry as a secondary institute. Fully integrated in major worldwide scientific collaborations, the 4 thematic axes of the laboratory are : The Two Infinites, Nuclear for Health, Nuclear for Energy and the Environment, and Technologies Associated with Subatomic Physics. Subatech contributes to the socio-economic development thanks to a finalised research and valorisation strategy, whether it be industrial chairs, technology transfers, the creation of a company by laboratory members or the co-financing of doctoral theses with the industrial world. SUBATECH laboratory is located on the Nantes campus of IMT Atlantique.
	IN2P3
	The National Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (IN2P3) performs research in the field of the 'two infinites' namely the infinitely large, with the study of cosmology and astroparticles, and the infinitely small, with nuclear physics and the physics of elementary particles. IN2P3 is a leading international actor in these disciplines which often require very large-scale transnational facilities and its scientists are at the forefront of major discoveries, such as the Higgs boson, neutrino oscillations and gravitational waves. The Institute is also having major contributions to the development of related applied technologies, such as particle accelerators and detectors, mainly in the fields of health, energy and the environment.
	CNRS DR17
	The regional delegation covers two administrative regions, Brittany and Pays de la Loire. It is made up of 70 laboratories, the 10 CNRS institutes represented in a geographical area from Brest to Le Mans, from Roscoff to Nantes. These 70 laboratories are linked to our partners: 9 universities, 13 grandes écoles and 4 research organisations.
