24-29 September 2023

at Cité des Congrès, Nantes, France

18th International Conference on the Chemistry and Migration Behaviour of Actinides and Fission Products in the Geosphere

The MIGRATION conferences provide an international forum for the timely exchange of scientific information on chemical processes controlling the migration behaviour of actinides and fission products in natural aquifer systems. Experimental investigations and predictive modelling of these processes are the main topics of the conferences.

The information generated from the MIGRATION conferences is the basis for the mechanistic understanding of the migration behaviour of long-lived radionuclides in the geosphere, which is essential for the long-term performance assessment of nuclear waste disposal. The first MIGRATION conference was held in 1987 in Munich, Germany. It was followed by MIGRATION ‘1989 in Monterey, California, USA; MIGRATION ‘1991 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain; MIGRATION ‘1993 in Charleston, South Carolina, USA; MIGRATION ‘1995 in Saint-Malo,France; MIGRATION ‘1997 in Sendai, Japan, MIGRATION ‘99 at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA, MIGRATION ‘2001 in Bregenz, Austria, MIGRATION ‘2003 in Gyeongju, Korea, MIGRATION ‘2005 in Avignon, France, MIGRATION ‘2007 in Munich, MIGRATION ’2009 in Kennewick, Washington, USA, MIGRATION '2011 in Beijing, China, MIGRATION '2013 in Brighton, UK, MIGRATION '2015 in Santa Fe, USA, MIGRATION '2017 in Barcelona and MIGRATION '2019 in Kyoto, Japan.

Conference MIGRATION 2023 will take place from 24th to 29th September 2023 in Nantes, France.
